School of Nutrition and Health
The 3½-year professional bachelor degree in Nutrition and Health is a relatively new study programme which combines the former programmes of catering management, B.Sc. in nutrition and home economics, and clinical dietetics in a single study programme.
The programme consists of a 1½-year foundation course and a main subject. The instruction takes the form of lectures, group work, seminars, exercises, projects, guidance and practical training. The practical training occupies one month of the foundation course and 4-5 months in the main subject.
Nutrition, physical activity, management, health promotion and disease prevention
In terms of content, the foundation course ensures that students acquire a basic knowledge of nutrition, health promotion, foodstuffs, teaching, guidance, etc. During the main subject section, students have the opportunity to specialise in the following areas: Human Nutrition, Catering Management, Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition and Physical Activity.
